Task Scheduler XML schema
The Microsoft XML schema that defines scheduled task files: RegistrationInfo, Triggers, Principals, Settings, Data and Actions elements.
Since Windows Vista, every scheduled task is defined by an XML document following the Task Scheduler Schema, namespace http://schemas.microsoft.com/windows/2004/02/mit/task. The root Task element contains RegistrationInfo (author, date, URI, description), Triggers (up to 48), Principals (the account and run level), Settings (hidden, enabled, time limits), optional Data, and Actions (up to 32).
The files live, without extension, under C:\Windows\System32\Tasks, usually encoded as UTF-16LE. How to read each element in a case is covered in task XML anatomy.
