TaskCache Hash value
The integrity hash stored in TaskCache\Tasks\{GUID}\Hash, observed as SHA-256 of the task XML without its byte order mark on current Windows.
The Hash value lets the Task Scheduler service notice when a task's XML file no longer matches what was registered. winreg-kb records it as SHA-256, or CRC32 before update KB2305420; on current Windows 10 and 11 it is observed to be the SHA-256 of the XML file content after the two-byte UTF-16 byte order mark.
Recomputing it is a cheap integrity check: a mismatch means the file or the registry entry changed after registration, and both definitions should be read. See TaskCache registry forensics.
